絞架幽默

因為某些個人原因沒有看書及更新一段日子, 將來也會稍少看書. 唉. 




看了此書之後, 發覺出版流行英文文法書的幾個香港人作者, 都不見得比傅建中好. 包括我們很熟知的楊鐵樑, 古德明. 他們與此台灣作者最大的分別是, 都不是長居外國及幹與語文有關的職業. 我指的長居是最少三幾十年吧, 沒有幾十年混入人家的文化, 你多聰明也好, 也很難完全了解人家的語文及其背景. 


楊鐵樑說long time no see是不合文法, 但此句在美國已很流行, 亦已入了字典. 可見楊官是有點過時了. 



此書的作者是現在也居於美國, 工作是政治新聞記者. 所以, 此書講解很多常用idioms用很多新聞事例, 很新動有趣.
